To fully implement the spirit of the "Entering Africa" promotion meeting of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and ensure the safety and security of personnel to Africa under the joint guidance of the Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government, Hunan Provincial Department of Public Security, and Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, Luban Workshop Lecture (Session 3) – China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Public Welfare Training of Safety & Security for Personnel "Entering Africa" was held on April 23 at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Innovation Demonstration Park in Changsha.

Luban Workshop Lecture Series (Third Session) was organized by China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council of Hunan Province in collaboration with Huawei Zhonghe (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and Hunan Xintiandi Security Service Co., Ltd., with China Minsheng Bank Co., Ltd. Changsha Branch as the Co-organizer. This training program aims to enhance pre-departure safety and security education for enterprises operating in Africa, improve the capability of personnel in response to emergencies, and impart relevant preventive skills.

During this training session, hundreds of participants registered, including representatives from enterprises exhibiting at the "Entering Africa" Event of China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, as well as business personnel who independently joined the delegation for commercial investigation in African countries. Hunan Provincial Department of Public Security conducted safety and security briefings for Chinese citizens abroad, where Senior Lecturer Mei Jie provided in-depth analysis on political-military conditions, national profiles and social security trends in key African countries to enhance their risk prevention awareness and self-protection capability.

This training provided trainees with a novel immersive experience through vivid case analysis combined with instructors' armed drills. After the training, trainees gained a fundamental understanding of safety and security for travel to Africa and expressed their hope for the research institute's organizing more training sessions to provide companies with advanced safety and security protection skills.
