Recently, the China Association of Higher Education announced the list of Chinese member universities for the "China-Africa 100 Universities Cooperation Program" and the "China-Africa University Alliance" exchange mechanism; and 50 universities were selected as Chinese members of the "China-Africa 100 Universities Cooperation Program", while 252 universities were admitted as Chinese members of the "China-Africa University Alliance" exchange mechanism. This represents another major initiative by China to support Africa's educational development, signifies the expansion and enhancement of university cooperation between China and Africa, and opens a new pathway for China's educational openness to the world. On the afternoon of September 5, 2024, four high-level parallel sessions of the FOCAC Summit focused on the topics of governance, industrialization and agricultural modernization, peace and security, and high-quality BRI cooperation respectively. Statements made by each representative of each country reflect their shared concerns and aspirations of China and Africa for modernization development, which are also priorities for the construction of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in the new era. On September 12 local time, the Agreement Exchange Ceremony for the China-Zambia Paired Hospital Cooperation Mechanism and the Donation Ceremony for Medical Supplies and Equipment were held at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital in Zambia. Chinese Ambassador Han Jing and Dr. Kennedy Lishimpi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Zambia, attended the ceremony and made remarks. Ambassador Han said in his speech that public health cooperation is an important part of partnership initiatives for joining hands to advance modernization for China and Africa.
