From January to June 2023, China-Africa trade volume reached $140.9 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, of which, import from Africa totaled $53 billion, with a year-on-year decrease of 12.4%, while export to Africa reached $87.9 billion, increased by 15.4% year-on-year.


II. Investment in Africa

From January to June 2023, China's direct investment in Africa across all industries reached $1.82 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, of which non-financial direct investment amounted to $1.58 billion.

III. Infrastructure Cooperation

From January to June 2023, newly signed contract values for contracted projects in Africa reached $28.4 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 7.64%; completed turnover was $16.5 billion, with a year-on-year decrease of 10%.
