In order to fulfill the important strategic plan made by the State Council to establish Hunan as a pilot zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, further promote collaborative development in diversified fields of dispute resolution such as commercial arbitration between China and Africa, and provide more robust legal safeguards for China-Africa economic and trade exchanges, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission has decided, after thorough deliberation, to establish the CIETAC China-Africa Trial Center in Changsha, Hunan.
On June 13, during this China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, the unveiling ceremony of the CIETAC China-Africa Trial Center will be held, concurrently with the China-Africa International Arbitration Cooperation Conference, to establish a platform for in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the field of arbitration between China and Africa.
The organizer of this Event, themed "Interconnection and Shared Synergy-Innovative Development and Cooperation in China-Africa International Commercial Arbitration", has invited leaders from major African dispute resolution bodies and related organizations, court representatives, academic scholars and arbitration practitioners to engage in dialogues and discussions focusing on exchanges and cooperation in the field of China-Africa dispute resolution, construction and improvement of China-Africa arbitration mechanism, innovative practices and collaborative advancement in arbitration under the Belt and Road Initiative.
This one-day event provided simultaneous interpretation in Chinese, English and French throughout. The offline venue was set at the Huatian Hotel in Changsha, with a global live broadcast.
