The 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will debut a flagship brand exhibition when convened in Changsha this June

The State Council Information Office held a press conference today, where officials from the Ministry of Commerce announced that the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be held in Changsha, Hunan from June 12 to 15. With the theme "China and Africa: Together Toward Modernization", this Event stands as one of the most significant economic and trade exchanges between China and African countries this year.


The press conference has also provided updates on the preparations for the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and related China-Africa economic and trade cooperation; till present, over 12,000 participants from 44 African countries and 6 international organizations have registered for the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo.


This Expo invited 5 African countries - the Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa and Nigeria - as guest countries of honor, with Hubei Province and Chongqing Municipality serving as guest provinces (municipalities) of honor.

This Expo closely aligned with the industrial needs of China and Africa, focusing on facilitation of supply-demand matching and creation of distinctive exhibition features, with specialized zones such as smart mining technology and equipment, clean energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, modern agricultural machinery and construction machinery; and for the first time, planed themed exhibitions including China-Africa Renowned Brands Show, African High-quality Goods Show and China-Africa Fashion Industry Show.

As a crucial platform for implementing the economic and trade initiatives of the FOCAC, this Expo will organize over 20 economic and trade activities. These events will cover cooperation in China-Africa infrastructure, textiles and apparel, and green minerals, as well as themes including China-Africa youth innovation and entrepreneurship, and CEO dialogues.

Mr. Wang Junshou, Vice Governor of Hunan Provincial People's Government, introduced that the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo has been successfully held for three sessions, with the signed project implementation rate of 83%; and with the continued expansion of brand influence, it has become a shining name card for Hunan's opening-up to the world.
